Sepia Scenes

Going home from Dreamland, Hubby decided o try the new Emirates Bypass Road. Along the way, we saw a herd of camel gracefully treading the road.

"As a camel bereath labor, and heat, and hunger, and thirst through deserts of sand, and fainteth not: so the fortitude of a man shall sustain him through all perils."
~ Akhenaton, King of Egypt, 14th B.C.

Jumeirah Beach Hotel

I took this photo December last year from the 27th floor of Burj Al Arab.

 Jumeirah Beach Hotel

This luxurious 5-star lifestyle destination has been consistently voted as among the world's Best Resort Hotel. It has 617 sea-facing rooms, suites, and villas. All hotel guests are given complimentary access to the famous UAE outdoor water park, The Wild Wadi.

The Waterfall, Dubai Mall

Another fascinating feature of Dubai Mall is The Waterfall.

The Waterfall runs through the entire height of the mall, traversing all four levels, and is adorned with art sculptures of human divers made of fiberglass to create a dynamic visual spectrum that complements the rhythmic flow of water.

The Waterfall comprises two cylindrical structures, 30 metres in diameter and 24 metres high, with an overhead reservoir feeding the recycled water. It is well-lit in the night and reflects sunlight by day.

Emirates Classic Car Festival

This photo was taken during the 38th celebration of the UAE National Day last december. As part of the festivities all over the city, Dubai Festival City held a Classic Car Festival at the Marina Promenade. The vintage collection included Cadillac, Shelby, Maserati, Stingray, and a 1912 Ford.
